Watkins Glen, NY (November 21, 2007) – Looking for the perfect stocking stuffer this holiday season? Why not REV-UP your holidays this year and give the gift of racing? Tickets for the highly anticipated 60th Anniversary season at The Soul of American Road Racing go on sale December 1st. Gift Certificates are also available and can be used towards any 2008 event at Watkins Glen International. Gift Certificates can be purchased NOW at the Information Center of Corning located on Historic Market Street in downtown Corning or at The Shop on Franklin Street in downtown Watkins Glen.

Fans looking for a bargain can stretch their dollar and save by taking advantage of the advance ticket prices to all of the major event weekends at Watkins Glen International, starting on December 1st. Fans can call 866-461-RACE or order online at TheGlen.com for all 2008 events at Watkins Glen International. Tickets for the Centurion Boats at The Glen and Zippo 200 weekend featuring the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series, the Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen weekend and 4th of July celebration, The Finger Lakes Wine Festival or The Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen will be available.

The first racing action will take place during the stand-alone Grand Am Rolex Sports Car Series event, June 6-8, and will celebrate the 27th running of the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen on Saturday, June 7th. The exciting racing will continue on Sunday, June 8th, when the up-and-coming stars of the NASCAR Busch East Series return to The Glen for the first time since 2004.

The Camping World Grand Prix at The Glen IndyCar Series weekend returns to the legendary 3.4-mile road course, just in time to celebrate the 4th of July holiday, July 4-6. The Indy Pro Series, Historic Grand Prix and Grand-Am KONI Challenge Series will also take on the historic 3.4-mile long course during the weekend. The Soul of American Road Racing will once again offer a variety of 4th of July-themed fan activities at the track, including one of the largest fireworks displays in Western New York, to celebrate Independence Day.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series will turn left and right at The Glen during the Centurion Boats at The Glen on its traditional weekend, August 7-10. Fans can see NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stars challenge the famed 2.45-mile track in the NASCAR Nationwide Series Zippo 200, August 9th. The popular Daytona Prototypes of the Grand Am Rolex Sports Car Series will get the racing action going when they make their second appearance at The Glen in the Crown Royal 200 on August 8th.

The 2008 season will close with the traditional season finale – the U.S. Vintage Grand Prix, September 5-7. This event will celebrate the 60th Anniversary of road racing in The Glen and includes the Grand Prix Festival race reenactment on the village streets of Watkins Glen on Friday evening. The weekend continues to be the largest vintage racing event in the country featuring historic cars of the past from as far back as the 1930’s. The weekend’s featured marques will be Triumph, Formula 5000 and the 50th Anniversary of Lola. The honored guest will be announced at a later date.
