THE PATTERSON INN MUSEUM’S
HOLIDAY OPEN HOUSE
On Saturday, December 8, 2007 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. there will be an open house at the Patterson Inn Museum Complex. The Browntown Schoolhouse will feature hands-on crafts for children in the morning, and a magic show and organ music in the afternoon. All ages will enjoy music played by young musicians, hearth cooking and holiday decorating demonstrations at the Inn.
Adults will find hot beverages, delicious holiday sweets and a light lunch available in the Patterson Inn. An annual feature is a sale of gently used and vintage holiday decorations. This years raffle items include an artist colored sketch by Jerry Wright, Gourmet cookie tray, two handmade quilt wall-hangings, a basket of handblown ornaments by Hands-on Glass, Gourmet food basket, and a Barbie doll and Porcelain doll with clothes and a rocking chair.
We welcome you to visit our gift shop located in our new Welcome Center at 73 W. Pulteney, next door to the Inn. The gift shop will feature William Groome playing selections from his new CD “Parlor Guitar Nature” from 11-1.
The event is free and open to the public. Children must be accompanied by an adult. All proceeds benefit the programs and operation of the Corning-Painted Post Historical Society.
The Patterson Inn Museum and Browntown Schoolhouse are located at 59 West Pulteney Street, Corning, NY 14830. Sponsored by the Corning-Painted Post Historical Society. www.pattersoninnmuseum.org
