The Corning-Painted Post Historical Society wishes to announce the opening of their new building at 73 W. Pulteney, next door to the Patterson Inn Museum Complex. This new building will house the offices of the Historical Society, as well as the new Welcome Center – admissions, and gift shop for the Patterson Inn Museum Complex.
This is an exciting step for the Corning-Painted Post Historical Society as it offers more space for the Welcome Center, offices, a meeting room, as well as archival space. This welcome addition will also allow the 1796 Patterson Inn to be interpreted as a tavern, without the hindrances of a modern gift shop and offices breaking the historic spell.
