Homestead for the Holidays

On Saturday, December 8, 2007, from 1 to 4 p.m., Watson Homestead presents Homestead for the Holidays with the Gingerbread Lady, Linda Hodges, who will guide individuals and families in the decoration of gingerbread houses. Ms. Hodges provides all the materials to create a fanciful or traditional gingerbread house and setting. Reservations are required to make a gingerbread house. Up to four people can successfully share the decorating process, larger families or groups may wish to create additional houses. Fee for each gingerbread house is $30. Reservations and pre-payment requested by Dec. 2nd.
Additional afternoon activities include a horse-drawn sleigh ride at 3 p.m. and sledding, swimming
There will also be Christmas cookies to decorate and a mini-workshop on paper weaving to create traditional Swedish paper star ornaments. Holiday refreshments will be served.
