Celebrate Corning LPGA Week at Free May 2300° Event
At The Corning Museum of Glass
Corning, NY – The Corning Museum of Glass offers a supersized 2300° event in celebration of Corning’s LPGA week. On Thursday, May 22, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., 2300°: Tee Off for Summer will feature glassmaking demonstrations, live music, wine tastings, and plenty of summery fare.
Admission is free to the entire event, and guests will be able to enjoy:
· Live, outdoor hot glassblowing demonstrations by Afro Celotto. This Venetian maestro creates elegant works that combine traditional forms with bold colors.
- Music by Detroit-based headliner Misty Love and the Motown Sound. Additional music throughout the Museum by local musician Virgil Cain and local jazz group, SuperNatural.
- Free wine tastings from more than 25 Finger Lakes wineries.
- Last chance to explore the special exhibition, “Reflecting Antiquity,” organized jointly by The J. Paul Getty Museum and The Corning Museum of Glass.

At 2300o, hot glass gets interesting—and so do things at The Corning Museum of Glass. 2300o is a series of free, art-themed events at the Museum and each 2300o evening event features a combination of live music and unique demonstrations using hot glass, plus food and drink.

An independent, non-profit, educational institution, the Museum is dedicated to the art, history, science, research and exhibition of glass. The Museum is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. every day and from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the summer. Children 17 and under receive free admission.
