FANS CAN NOW PRINT THEIR WGI TICKETS AT HOME

FANS CAN NOW PRINT THEIR WGI TICKETS AT HOME
Print-at-Home Tickets Most Recent Example of The Glen’s Use of Technology

Watkins Glen, NY (April 10, 2008) – Fans no longer have to wait for their tickets to the Centurion Boats at The Glen weekend to come in the mail because Watkins Glen International now offers print-at-home tickets! At this time, this option is only available for grandstand tickets during the Centurion Boats at The Glen weekend, August 7-10, but other events are expected to be available in 2009. The print-at-home option is the latest addition to the list of technologies, including the WGI Fan Talk Forum, live driver chats, MySpace, Facebook, and e-newsletters that The Glen uses to enhance their fans’ online experience.

The print at home option is available for new orders and is as simple as a couple of clicks of the mouse or a request on the phone. Guests will simply need to select the print at home option when they purchase their tickets online or tell their ticket agent they would like to print at home. The ticket buyer will then receive two e-mails—one confirms the ticket sale and the other contains the print at home information. A barcode printed on the ticket will be scanned at the admission gates. Each print-at-home ticket is valid for one admission only and duplicate copies of the same barcode will not allow access.

Race fans demand more information, access, and interaction than ever before and The Glen has been proud to meet this demand through the use of technology. WGI launched the interactive WGI Fan Talk Forum in January 2007 which has provided a way for fans to openly share their opinions on racing and Glen related events, talk directly to each other through public postings or private messages, and even talk directly to WGI staff. The forum lead to the creation of the WGI Live Driver Chat series which gave fans the opportunity to do an online chat with racing stars such as NASCAR Sprint Car Series drivers Robby Gordon and Boris Said, IndyCar Series drivers Scott Dixon and Buddy Rice, and Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series drivers Hurley Haywood, Jon Fogarty and Scott Pruett. The Glen also has profiles on MySpace and Facebook so that fans on those social networking sites can come together and actually become friends of The Glen. Fans can also always count on getting the most up-to-date news about WGI with monthly e-newsletters sent directly to their email inboxes.
